If you live in Cedar Park and you’re trying to figure out what a dumpster rental actually costs, you’ve probably seen a wide range of numbers online. $250 here, $700 there. None of it includes the same stuff. That makes it hard to compare.
I run K9 Junk & Hauling out of Cedar Park, so I’ll give it to you straight: here’s what dumpster rental really costs in this market in 2026, and what to watch for so you don’t get hit with surprise fees.
Dumpster Rental Prices in Cedar Park (2026)
Here’s the typical price range you’ll see in Cedar Park and the surrounding Williamson County area:
- 10 yard dumpster: $325 – $425
- 15 yard dumpster: $375 – $475
- 20 yard dumpster: $425 – $550
- 30 yard dumpster: $550 – $700
- 40 yard dumpster: $650 – $850
Those are real Cedar Park numbers for a 7-day rental with a standard weight limit. Some companies quote lower up front and bill the difference on the back end. Read the fine print before you say yes.
What’s Included in the Price
A fair Cedar Park dumpster rental should include:
- Delivery to your driveway or job site
- 7 days of rental
- Pickup and dump fee
- A set weight limit (usually 2–6 tons depending on size)
If the quote doesn’t list those four things, ask. “All-in” should mean all-in.
The Fees That Sneak Up on You
Most complaints about dumpster rental pricing come from fees customers didn’t know about. Here are the four to watch:
Overweight fees. Most dumpsters have a weight cap. Go over and you pay $50–$100 per extra ton. A 20 yard dumpster full of concrete? You’ll blow past the limit fast. Get a heavy-debris dumpster for concrete, dirt, or shingles.
Extra day fees. Most rentals are 7 days. After that, you pay $10–$20 per day. If your project is going long, ask for a 14-day rate up front. It’s usually cheaper than the daily add-on.
Prohibited item fees. Tires, paint, batteries, mattresses, and electronics often cost extra (or aren’t allowed). I’ll tell you that before delivery. Some companies don’t.
Trip fees. If your driveway is blocked when the truck shows up, the driver leaves and you get charged a $75–$150 trip fee. Make sure the spot is clear.
What Size Dumpster Do You Need?
Quick rule of thumb for Cedar Park homeowners:
- 10–15 yard: Small bathroom remodel, garage cleanout, single room of junk
- 20 yard: Full kitchen remodel, large attic or basement cleanout, small roof job
- 30 yard: Whole-house cleanout, larger remodel, mid-size construction debris
- 40 yard: New construction, full house demo debris, large commercial cleanout
If you’re unsure, go one size up. It’s cheaper than ordering a second dumpster.
Why I Don’t Compete on Price
I’ll be honest. K9 is usually not the cheapest quote you’ll get in Cedar Park. I run insured trucks, my crew shows up when I say they will, and I don’t tack on fees you didn’t expect. If you want the lowest price, there’s always somebody on Craigslist. If you want the dumpster on your driveway when you planned the work for, call me.
