When Truck Help Makes Sense
Full moving companies bundle everything: packing, driving, unloading, sometimes storage. Great if you have unlimited budget. But if you’re doing a DIY move (renting the truck yourself to save money) and just need help with the physical loading/unloading, hiring a full mover is overkill.
We fill that gap: labor-only, hourly, insured. You handle the truck, the driving, the boxes. We handle the muscle.
What We Do

What We DON’T Do
- Drive your truck (liability — that’s on the renter)
- Insure the contents of your rental (your rental company’s coverage handles that)

Loading Tips We Bring
A well-loaded truck fits 30-40% more than a poorly-loaded one. We use:
- Heavy stuff on bottom (dressers, appliances, boxes with books)
- Light + fragile on top (lampshades, pillows, artwork)
- Straps at multiple levels to keep everything from shifting
- Furniture blankets between hard surfaces
- Boxes packed tight to prevent falling
- Doors on cabinets and dressers taped shut

Do you provide the truck?
No — you rent it (U-Haul, Penske, Home Depot). We provide the labor. This keeps costs way lower than a full moving company.
What about boxes and packing supplies?
Bring your own OR order from Home Depot / U-Haul. We can bring extra moving blankets if you need them.
Can you pack + load in one visit?
If you need us to pack boxes AND load — yes, but tell us upfront so we allocate time. Packing takes MUCH longer than most people think.
What if I need help both ends (load in Austin, unload in Dallas)?
We only cover Austin metro. For destination unloading in another city, use Task Rabbit or a local labor service.
